Job Description Summary: BITS M&A team provides M&A technology and integration leadership within the BITS organization (Business Infrastructure & Technology Solutions organization). In this role you are responsible for driving BITS M&A activities from due diligence through deal execution and integration in an organized, disciplined, and predictable fashion while partnering with PayPal Venture and M&A community (Strategy, finance, HR, Risk and Compliance, Legal, Go to Market and Product and Tech).

We are a team of M&A specialists with technology background in Employee technology, Cloud Engineering, Data, architecture, and cyber security. Our team is based in AMER, EMEA and APAC to ensure coverage for different regions for M&A’s and Venture discussions.

Your way to impact:

This role will provide technology and integration leadership within PayPal enterprise shared services organization while in parallel supporting the broader PayPal integration, security and acquisition strategy. You will work closely with PayPal strategy team to understand the goals for the acquisition and partner with engineering, enterprise shared services and cyber security to formulate the plans for deal execution.

Your day-to-day:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing technology integration of new acquisitions into PayPal standards, business process architecture and business process gap analysis for acquired companies, driving the operations, coordinating the matrixed team of domain subject matter experts for due diligence through deal execution and integration; be a critical partner to BITS M&A POCs in managing dependencies

  • You will assist with development of a global integration roadmap and strategy.

  • Lead one or more integrations of moderate complexity or importance. With minimal guidance, develops an integration strategy and leads execution.

  • Lead cross functional business process re-architecture sessions and plan to mitigate critical choke points with guidance.

  • Address cross-domain integration gaps or misalignment of goals with guidance and collaboration. Ensure scope, benefits, costs, timeline, and risks are identified for each IT integration.

  • Oversee, coordinate, and schedule relevant integration stakeholders including technology vendor(s), subject matter experts, technology service owners, corporate communications, corporate training, management, etc.

  • Lead technology aspects of onboarding, application migrations, infrastructure integrations, support and services integration

  • Facilitate joint planning sessions between BITS core team and acquired company.

  • Change management and communications in creating integration launch plans.

  • Partners across teams to create employee experiences that reinforce corporate branding and messaging.

  • Conducts retrospectives and uses it for improvements for future planning. Acts with customer in mind.

You will partner with the PayPal M&A Corp Dev and Integration teams and be a customer champion to the acquired company employees.

What you need to bring:

You are detail oriented, meticulous, customer-focused, and have a reputation for getting things done. Moreover, you love operating in a dynamic and demanding environment, think critically, act quickly, and partner naturally. Good judgment, and team building skills are coveted.

The ideal candidate will have experience:

  • Leading M&A's and large-scale implementations of infrastructure systems (e.g. UNIX, NT, e-mail, database, client-server, Internet/Intranet, server rooms, data centers, etc).
  • Ability to lead complex architecture discussions alongside subject matter experts and domain architects to identify and document design option, during execution identify and manage partner, product and site dependencies.
  • Experience with international and multi-site projects.
  • Ability to engage subject matter experts to develop business continuity and rollback plans for all integration and cutover activities.
  • Lead test efforts of all applications of the acquired company prior to network cutover to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Literate/familiarity with information security, data platforms, site reliability/infrastructure, and employee technologies/IT program management methodologies, principles, and concepts
  • Ability to influence where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $96900 to $234300
